Edit basic information & set recalls
The Basic Information widget on the patient card holds the patient's contact details and address. Two small icons next to the patient's name do two very different things:
- Notebook-and-pen icon — opens the Update Patient Info dialog.
- Phone icon — opens the Recalls dialog to schedule a follow-up.
Edit contact details
Click the notebook-and-pen icon. The Update Patient Info dialog opens.

Fields marked *
- Last / First — the only two the form actually insists on; leave one empty and you get This field is required.
- Address, City, State, Zip and Legal Gender (Female / Male / Other) are also marked
*, but the form lets you save without them. Fill them in anyway.
Names are turned into capitals as you type.
Fill in what you can
- Middle / Pref. — middle name; a preferred name (nickname) to use at the front desk.
- DOB — date of birth.
- Address / Addr. 2 / City / State / Zip — physical address. Address has autocomplete — pick a suggestion, it fills City/State/Zip in one go.
- Email / Cell / Home phone / Work phone / International phone — how to reach them.
- Assigned Sex / Pronoun / Preferred Language — for the doctor and correspondence.
- SSN — Social Security Number.
- Opt into Mailing Lists / Survey — marketing consent.
Click Submit to save. Close to cancel.
Recalls
Click the phone icon. The Recalls dialog opens.

Create a recall
The New Recall panel is where you schedule a follow-up. It opens folded — click the New Recall heading to unfold it.
- Reason — one of four: 3 month follow up, 6 month follow up, annual follow up, other. Choosing other reveals a Custom Reason box, which must then be filled in. The list is fixed; it is not a settings list. Picking one of the first three fills in the Date for you — today plus 3, 6 or 12 months — which you can still change.
- Date — when the recall is due. Past dates are refused (Cannot select past dates).
- Location — which store handles the recall (defaults to your store).
Click Create Recall. The recall now shows in Existing Recalls below, and it shows up in the Recall List straight away, with its date in the Recall Date column.
Existing recalls
The section under the form lists all recalls already set for this patient — Reason, Date and Location — so you can see what's scheduled. The red bin removes one that no longer applies; it asks Are you sure? first.
